Employee Resource Groups

Oak View Group’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led networks that bring colleagues together around shared interests, lived experiences, and allyship. They create space for connection, mentorship, and professional growth, while helping to strengthen our culture across venues and offices. ERGs also play a key role in driving our social impact and community engagement goals, helping us stay closely connected to the communities we serve. The Ascend program is Oak View Group’s early-talent initiative designed to support students from historically underrepresented backgrounds by partnering with institutions such as HBCUs, HSIs, and other mission-aligned schools. Through on-campus activations like career fairs, workshops, and networking events, students discover career pathways in sports, live entertainment, and hospitality while gaining not only skills, but also social capital to strengthen their professional networks.

Selected participants receive immersive, behind-the-scenes exposure at premier OVG events and venues—shadowing teams, contributing to real projects, and engaging in day-to-day operations. See below for an overview of Ascend’s core program features.

How Ascend works:  Full cycle early talent pipeline program

Engage HBCUs, HISs and other students through impactful on-campus activations like career fairs, workshops, and networking events that showcase opportunities in sports, entertainment, and hospitality.

Provide immersive career exposure by offering students behind-the-scenes access to live entertainment, sports, and venue management. Host career panels, networking mixers, and shadow opportunities during premier OVG events.

Hands-on industry experience through immersive projects and day-to-day exposure to venue operations, live entertainment, and corporate functions. Structured mentorship and professional development with industry leaders to build skills, confidence, and meaningful career connections. as well as a capstone project and showcase.
